Sacha’s Diary November 29, 2016
As loyal readers of this blog know, my parents and I just moved to Los Angeles. Woo-hoo! So far, I am loving being an LA puppy! I’m definitely starting to feel like a Samoyed in SoCal.
But, as a Samoyed, I have a very furry, long, natural (and I might add) beautiful white coat. Which is perfect for the Chicago winters. But here in Hollywood…yeah, not so much. My coat was a bit on the long side and I was starting to get a bit uncomfortable which my parents picked up on. They can be very perceptive those parents of mine. So they took me for the very first time to a groomer here in Los Angeles.
And well, here are the results.
Take a look at the “Before” photo here and then the “After” photo right next to it. Pretty extreme difference right? Truth be told, my parents didn’t want my tail shaved and they were clear about that point with the groomer. But it happened anyway. Let me tell you that my daddy was NOT happy when he saw that. Yikes!
But it’s okay. I know it’ll grow back soon!
Allow me to therefore offer that up as a tip whenever you take your dog to a new groomer for the first time. Write down everything you want them to do, and don’t do, and have them initial it before you leave (if you’re not going to stay and wait). That way there will be no confusion later on. It sure would’ve saved my Daddy a lot of angst if he had thought of that. All he had to do was ask me! Silly daddy! 🙂
Okay so question time, how do you guys think I look? Better shaved? Or better unshaved? Personally, I think I’m super cute no matter what, but I’d be curious to hear your responses. Also, have any of you pet parents shaved one of your dogs? If so, what was your experience? Do you recommend it and would you do it again? Please share your story in the comment section.
Also, if you have any questions for me and how I’m digging my new do, be sure to leave a comment and I’ll get back to you.
Well, that’s about it for now. Until next time Mr. Diary!!
